This book had its great moments that kept me reading. However, it also had many downfalls and simplicities to human feeling. I hated the ending. I think my issues are maybe more with the plot than with the language which I enjoyed for the most part.

i truly am in my “im not finishing this book if i don’t care about it” era it was about to expire on libby and i was so shocked i’d had it for so long. it seems i’ve been actively putting off listening to it for reasons simple as: annoying characters :( but not :( in a good way :( or fun way :( or interesting :( just :( annoying :( cleo and frank you are my literary enemies

this ending was just beautiful. the book on the whole was such a journey and a messy one at that. it took me a while to read because of things going on in my own life but i really enjoyed dipping into this story and how mellors gives us multiple perspectives and spans a great amount of time. it really got me thinking about how some relationships are not meant to work out but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have happened at all, everything happens for a reason and everything will be okay.
