This book was dark and utterly heart-wrenching. 

The story was unique and I loved the exploration of Istanbul.

The only part that I didnt like is that Leila didnt get justice for her murder. We get extra scenes with the murderes in the drive through, but after that, this part of the plot seems to get forgotten.

I'll definitely be exploring this author further!!

Feeling veryyyy divided on this one. First half, good. Second half, very bad. Would give 2.5 stars if I could but 2 just seems a bit too harsh so that’s where I’ve settled on three in spite of its shortcomings in the second half.

A book unlike any others I have read before. The characters were unique and realistic. The way the book was formatted really helped to absorb me into the story. A book I would recommend any adult reads

It took a bit longer to get through it to be able to process every bit of it. In awe of everything about this book. It is heavy, very heavy. Yet, also hopeful.
