I personally feel that the amount of smut in this book detracts from the really powerful healing that Nesta does, BUT Maas' exemplary storytelling and world-building IS still there... in short bursts between explicit sexual content and detailed tension/desire. It would be better with far less of that, in my opinion.

I love Nesta, she’s a baddie and I would defend her with my life (not that she needs me to). 

This book is incredibly horny, so much more smut than the other ACOTAR books. I didn’t hate it, but there are specific phrases that SJM uses in her smut scenes that give me the ick. 

I love a story of healing and found family and feeling empowered with your besties so this book was a win for me.
