Ah, the luck of the Irish!

Loved it and I find it hilarious how the matriarchs is the Made Marion series get around.

I really enjoy a story where love comes in a form you’d least expect it.

Talk to each other!

This book could have been really good - gay/bi-for-you, international romance - but so much revolves around misunderstandings and miscommunication because the MCs don't clue each other in what they think or why they do things.

This was another very enjoyable entry in this series, with a very funny non-proposal. This is the tale of the oldest brother, who believes himself to be straight until he meets Charlie. Features a short cross-over appearance from Aunt Tilly from the Marian series.

Another fun and sweet addition to the Forever Wilde series! I love these Wilde boys and the Wilde family dynamics we get in each story.

Hudson Wilde is not only the oldest of the Wilde family boys but he’s also the only straight one…or so he thinks. Since he’s the oldest, he’s shouldered a lot of responsibility and stress when it comes to caring for everyone and providing for his family. He’s really particular about things and has goals planned out for himself to hit both personally and professionally but when his girlfriend thinks he proposed when he really didn’t, he’s struggling to hold on to some of his goals. He ends up in Ireland to assess a business opportunity and he finds way more than he expected in the little pub on the coast.

Charlie Murray grew up working in his family’s pub in Ireland, learning to pour pints, chat with patrons and so many other things about the business along the way. He has a big personality, a little bossy and isn’t afraid to embrace his feminine features, keeping his red hair long and wearing clothes that highlight his thin physique. Charlie’s passion is in training sheepdogs and his dog Mama is one of the best on the competition circuit. His family’s pub and all of its history means the world to him and he’ll do anything to keep things in the family, including going to America to keep things authentic.

These two have a connection from the first time Hudson walks into Fig & Bramble and sits at the bar while Charlie’s working. Even though Hudson thinks he’s straight, he can’t get Charlie off his mind and they hook up before Hudson goes back to Texas. Then, months later, Charlie shows up in Texas to help open the franchise Hudson’s project managing. Things are really awkward between them for a long time while Hudson figures out what he wants but once they’re on the same page, their relationship is full of sweetness, banter and lots of fun. I just wish they got there faster - I would have loved to see more of them happy together!

The thing I disliked most about this story was Hudson’s hot and cold attitude toward Charlie before he finally gave in - it just felt like Charlie got the short end of the stick so frequently and I wanted more for that sweet man! I’m glad Hudson finally accepted his feelings and his new non-label and gave him just that. I also could have done without some of the unnecessary addition of Hudson’s ex-girlfriend, Darci. It just didn’t really add much to the story and took away from Hudson and Charlie’s story.

I loved all of the Wilde family and their banter like in every book in this series - they’re all adorable and I’d love to be a Wilde! Great setup for Augie and Saint’s story next and I can’t wait to get started!

Hudson's Luck is the fourth book in the Forever Wilde series by the talented and hilarious Lucy Lennox. I'm a huge fan of Lucy's and after reading her books with Sloane Kennedy, I'm working my way through her backlist. I'm listening to them out of order, but I don't care. I love the Wilde's and Michael Pauley. Hudson likes things in order. He has a life plan, things he wants to accomplish, a wife, family, job he loves. But when it all goes to hell and he ends up in Ireland for work and sees a gorgeous red head he's instantly attracted to his whole life is thrown off kilter. The red head? It's Charlie. Definitely not a woman. A gorgeous man with a sexy Irish accent who he can't stop thinking about. When he does something very out of character for him, Hudson doesn't think he'll ever see Charlie again. But then Charlie's in Texas to help get the new pub up and running. They have to work together. See each other all day, every day. Their attraction takes a back burner to them becoming friends. Until Hudson can't keep his hands off Charlie anymore. He's not gay? Right? Well, maybe. Whatever he is, he wants his Irishman. Charlie is only there temporarily, but he can't help but want to be with Hudson in every way. What happens when their time is up? Will Hudson let Charlie walk out of his life? I loved this book! I listened to it instead of reading it and I loved it! Michael Pauley is so fantastic and I loved not knowing what was going to happen! His accent was spot on and the scene with Charlie and Stevie? I almost died!! Overall, I laughed, cried, got hot and bothered, laughed some more and swooned!

3.5 stars.

I found this book more enjoyable than the previous book in the series. This book has your classic Hallmark movie 'businessman goes to assess a family-run business for acquisition and falls in love with the heir' trope, but with a sprinkling of a sexual awakening thrown in for good measure.

I joined an M/M Audible group on Facebook and asked for suggestions. This audiobook was one of them. I LOVED this book. In the beginning, Hudson is adorably awkward and that's my favorite type of character! He made me laugh out loud. Michael Pauley did a phenomenal job. Every character had its own voice and the accents were great. I'd been a little worried I wouldn't enjoy this book as much as the others I'd listened to because I hadn't read the book before. Pauley made the story come to life. Lucy Lennox created a wonderful story. I didn't know how Hudson and Charlie were going to work things out but I was behind them all the way. Hudson and Charlie are meant for each other! I haven't read any of the other Wilde books but I need to after reading this one! I highly recommend both this book and Pauley!

cute

This was cute and well written. I loved some of the antics that our characters got into. The story was adorable and held my attention from beginning to end. I will definitely be checking out more in this series.
