Obviously a masterpiece. I listened to the audiobook version from 2018 with the Broadway revival cast and the HBO version is sort of the definitive one in my mind, and I feel like it works better with the visuals, but the cast was really good, especially Andrew Garfield.

i read it while i was watching the recordings of the national theater and wow, just wow, i don't have words for this piece, it's a solid 4.5 for me, half a star off because Louis monologues were insufferable.

categorically the most sublime thing i've read all year, like, holy shit. will be coming back to this again and again and again and i will find new things to discover with each reread, and each reread will elucidate new things in the play and within myself
