I think this series lost steam the longer it went on, and more or less took every turn you expected it to turn. Certainly the weakest of the series, and not quite satisfying as a conclusion (though Naomi Novik doesn't seem to ever tie things as neatly as I’d like)

Will I end up making the first two books 5⭐️ too? Maybe. I couldn’t stop reading these. I got very attached to the characters and there were a lot of long strings that thread through all of the books and finally tied together here. It was good, it sucked me in, I cried (twice). This continues the “if it cries it gets 5” ranking system that has become a pattern for me.
