This book will show how hard is to break the circle of abuse. And how sometimes things can get complicated. And how grief is so hard. How can completely change the way we look at the world. And how two broken people either will collect them fully together or will completely destroyed more. This I think the best on from the entired series. And even some of the things I did not like like the sorry of women being in jail. But tat not change my opinion how much I like Sloan and Lucifer together. Great book.

The last 200 pages are what saved it, the beginning was too slow for my tastes

5⭐️3🌶️ (several more spicy scenes than previous books and more detailed, explicit open-door)
I feel sorry for the people who gave up during the second book because this one was 🤌🏼 chef’s kiss! God I am so glad we got the slow burn and mystery of Sloane and Lucian in the previous 2 books because I was already foaming at the mouth for their story before I even started it.

The story picks up after sloane’s dad passes from cancer, and her mom asks if she and Lucian can finally put their feud aside and get to a civil place. You get a lot of witty banter and immature fights since they bring out the teenager in each other. Eventually they try to call a truce, and when that doesn’t pan out, Lucian suggests a one night stand to get each other out of their systems. The only problem is they can’t stay away from each other. When sloane starts receiving threats, Lucian is convinced Anthony Hugo is after her because they’re involved and everything he ever loved got taken away from him. There is a short and minor
third-act breakup
but it makes sense for the characters and the plot. It wasn’t dragged out like it was in book 1.

When more threats are made on sloane’s life, Lucian realizes he can’t live without her and just decides they’re in a relationship now lmao. I’m not going to lie the 180 from trying to get over her for her own safety to never letting her out of his sight again and finally making his obsession known was both funny and welcome. Normally the roles are reversed. Lucian is by far my favorite MMC of the series. He is constantly saying “tell me what you need” and “I’ll fix it”. He literally built his empire so she would think highly of him. He would commit murder or buy her a castle if she asked. He’s known her so long he can often read her thoughts just from her facial expression. He’s definitely one of the book boyfriends that stays with you. And the spice in this book is the best out of the three. I’ll just say that Lucian is definitely talks you through it.

Sloane is probably my favorite FMC of the series also. She has the funniest one-liners and knows exactly what she wants out of life and isn’t afraid to work hard to make it happen. I wish I could be part of her adult book club for real🥲

This book also gave a plot twist that I did not see coming! I love when stories surprise me. I’m so sad to have to leave knockemout but I’ve decided I probably will come back to this series in the future, maybe even just this book on its own. I will miss all of the characters and their quirks. I don’t give 5 stars lightly but this was just the perfect wrap up to this series.

Let's say I was in a massive slump and I hadn't read a book in over a month and a half. I skipped the second one as it bored me to death but Lucian and Sloane were too interesting to skip this last one. So I'm currently addicted to this book!

The tension and  the hatred towards one another I loved my god!

Summary! She's a Librarian and he's a rich company owner. They grew up together but she betrayed him so they've been at each others throats since forever. Which from the first and second book you'll see that in too. (Not going to say what happened)

The sexual tension wow!

Don't want to give to much away but the towards the end lucian melts my heart completely!

My absolute favourite book ever wasnt rushed or a quick read just overall such a good book definitely a 5⭐️ also love his little nickname for her "pixie" "pix"

He actually also becomes on of my favourite men from books!

I also love the secret things he does behide Sloane back for the library and her family🥺🥺

Spoilers kinda

Cherry blossom tree
Grandad 🥺

So so so good. I think this was my favorite of the three. Each book peels back another layer of the Hugo mob family and this one was a great finish to that story. Sloane and Lucien are absolutely perfect. I love that compared to the other two couples the two of them really had to work for it to be together. They had to choose each other and put in more effort than the others and it felt very authentic. I think it’s my favorite of all 3. The second had the most action. But I think this one had the most intrigue.

I started off loving the first of the Knockemout books so much I had to immediately read the next. I wanted to love this last book because I was so excited to learn more about Sloan and Lucian but I just felt bored of the books. Each book pretty much followed the same exact plot just with different characters. I only would rate as a 4 because it was still likable and the spicy scenes were so good

My favorite one of the series. I loved learning about the history of Lucien and Sloane. The spicy scenes were 🌶️🌶️🌶️. I was totally sucked into the story and the grumpy-sunshine trope between Sloane and Lucien.

Lucian, aka Lucifer, aka Suit Daddy had daddy issues-- rightfully so.

Sloane, the girl next door had the perfect family. Hell even Lucifer thought so.

Tragically, Simon, Sloane's dad lost his battle to cancer. Sloane grieves the loss as anyone does... In her own way.

Through his death, Simon led Sloan and Lucian together.

Steamy sex, and lots of it later we have finally burned all the bad guys. We have couples who are all happily married and we have BABIES!
