This one was a slow burn for me. While the ending was more realistic with everything not working out perfectly, I like my protagonist to come out more unscathed than Beauregard did.

I was intrigued with this book from the start. Beauregard had turned over a new leaf to leave his old life behind and did his best to make a honest living. Finances was becoming low, so he decided to do what he does best to be a driver. I won't go too far into details to avoid spoilers but this was well worth reading. This was my second book by S. A. Cosby and I'm looking forward to reading more of his books.
