No one writes action like S.A. Cosby, but this was not my favorite (I've read them all).  Something about Bug
just walking away at the end with this "it's not you, it's me" attitude was off-putting. Especially as a husband and a father, to leave his family to clean up the mess he made with his choices is irredeemable.
The plot barreled towards an ending that just... ended with no real resolution to the problems created by Bug.

I’m pretty surprised at the high rating for this one. Sure there were some things I liked: the fact it took place in Virginia, some humor and a couple of the characters reminded me of people I have known in my life. Overall, I just couldn’t get past some of the predictable and cliched moments. Adam Lazarre-White should be given a tip of the cap. His delivery helped me finish the book.

Maybe the audiobook wasn't the way to go but the dialogue didn't match the narration and I don't think I enjoy noir. I didn't feel the tension and didn't care about the plot. I also don't like fast and furious so maybe that's why.
