I think I enjoyed this collection more than the first one. There are a few poems which stood out to me in particular and the overall collection seemed a bit more cohesive than the first.

REALLY excellent - less enamoured with Thornton's work but if the book was Robbins and Lockwood (esp) then it would be 5*

I really enjoyed Michael Robbins section and want to go back through it with a pencil and google at the ready and properly annotate it. Patricia Lockwood's section was Ok, and I really, really did not get on with Timothy Thornton's but at all. Overall a mixed bag but looking forward to the next one!

I read through a few poems by each poet, but none of it was my cup of tea. This is the only book I've DNFed this year too, so that's saying something.

Enjoyed this less than the first, but the point is not that each collection will be a stand-out one, I suppose - more that they're there to get you to read and try poets you may not have heard of.

No poets in this one that I'm going to pursue further, but a few very good poems that I'll read again.
