This book was disappointing. I really loved the premise and all the twists and turns. The characters were decently developed. But the author wrote the main character to feel really bad about herself. I don’t really feel like I need so many pages about how much she hates her body, feels ugly, but then seems to have multiple men after her. Married ones? But she looks down on her friend for the same. I dunno. I felt like there cold have been more murder mystery and less odd romance.

i am not going to waste my time by reviewing this but i will instead RANT. THIS hoe is so dumb, excuses, i hate the protagonist and i hate the writer. i smelled the cheating trope from a mile away, the pregnancy to a married man was the last straw. i wanted to read something in finnish since i have a 6 hour exam in march. this atrocity of a book, will not make the cut! the archeology part was so interesting but the plot was ruined by an insecure, dumb protagonist who clearly didn't change (i will NOT follow upon her change). there was so many things that pissed me off but whew....trash trash, not a single likeable character. the antagonist turned out to be the basic "i just needed company" -type of men, DISGUSTINGG
The past is dead. She, as an archaeologist, knows that better than most. But she knows too that it can be seductive.
A good detective story with well drawn characters and an engaging plot. I like the atmospheric location and that the person solving the mystery isn't a detective, but is working closely with the police. Although I had a strong suspicion about one character being the potential murderer, the red herrings were good enough to keep me guessing to the end.
