Even Though I Knew the End was such a fantastic combination of urban fantasy and mystery. Seriously, THIS is what I've been searching for I wish it was so much longer. There's a serial killer, ritual summonings, shady angels, demonic bargains, and a magic that's crafted from but also twists the Christian beliefs of 20th century America. It all flowed seamlessly together and was topped off by a cast of charming characters I came to care about. Helen and Edith have my heart.
There's just something very...classic about the mood/feeling of this novella. I could absolutely imagine it as a black and white noir film.

i definitely enjoyed this book as it had a lot of elements that i love reading about. i thought all the fantastical elements were really cool and came together nicely at the end. i however found it a bit hard to be super invested in what happens just because the book is pretty short and didn’t give much time for me to know the characters enough to care a lot about them. but anyways i always love lesbians and i love that they were lesbians
