quick, pretty cute, more religion-focused than i expected, so not my favorite. c. l. polk writes great magic systems, though, and the dialogue was fun and old-timey. audiobook was well done!

This was something different than what I normally read. I'm not sure if I'm really a fan of period pieces but I really enjoyed the story's pacing and the three main female characters. The old phrases occasionally felt a bit forced to me but maybe that's how it was?
