King's short fiction is pretty much always at least good, and so it is with this collection. I'd say most of the stories ranged from "okay" to "very good," but I'd say "1408," and "Lunch at the Gotham Cafe" were the best ones of the bunch - no wonder "1408" got made into a movie; it has a similar vibe to The Shining but it's still got its own spooky twists. I've also never read any of King's Dark Tower content before, so I did enjoy "The Little Sisters of Eluria" even if it's not what I'm used to from him and I will probably check out the first book now thanks to it.

The titular story, "Everything's Eventual," was also well-written and memorable, but I admit constantly referring to the people with special powers in the story by a slur dampened my enthusiasm for it. I am not opposed to offensive language in books, but this felt gratuitous. You get the feeling King thought he was being cheeky and clever there and it does not come out well.

Still, overall, a good collection for some enjoyable reading from the King of Horror.
