you stagger through the graveyard
a spade in one hand
a bottle of whiskey in the other

you dig

unearthing the traumatized corpses of every girl
who couldn’t love you
who wouldn’t fuck you

who wouldn’t want to be your muse?
who couldn’t want their pain to be your inspiration?

you drag them to the cemetery gates
a spade in one hand
a rope in the other

you tie

all those women to the fence
now everyone will see
now everyone will know

how much more important your suffering was
what genius! what art!

their vacant eyes stare.
their tongues, stilled, do not speak.

(Seriously, though, this book is a bunch of gross, misogynist trash and I hated it.)
emotional fast-paced

I did not enjoy this book at all. It was so dramatic and angsty. This is not poetry. This is the glorification of toxic relationships and 'love'. The only reason I finished it through was because it was a gift and it was part of my book bingo. I would no recommend this book to anyone over the age of 17. Also, 0/5 for formatting of the book. I read the revised version and there were still problems with the margins? I cannot express enough that you should not read this.

Some books just stay with you.

-the challenge, a poem by me-
men
stop writing
weird things you
think about
but can't say out loud
in this
format just to
pass it off as
acceptable and deep
profound and radical
commentary
on women
a challenge
which would be failed
time and again.

I’m sure teenage me would’ve loved this.

DNF at page 105.

This might be the worst book I've ever read in my entire life.

Repetitve, cringe and kind of manipulative set of collection.
