audiobook'd. watched the movie when it came out, i'm so 2000 and late on the book. can't decide if i liked or disliked the narrator and her voices, but i liked it enough to borrow the next book in the series. rachel gives really strong 'not like other girls' energy which was tough to get through and dated the book.
Title is as promised, book full of crazy rich Asians. I listened to this book with anticipation if the upcoming movie. Great listening, didn't require much thinking and was entertaining. Read a little on the other books in the series, hope these two can hold their ground against the Young's.
I loved this book, but I just found it hard to keep up with all the character names and stories. I did learn a lot about East-Asian culture though, which was really cool. The ending was a bit... lackluster? It ended off really quickly and vaguely. However, that just makes me more eager to start the sequel.

So many characters are unlikeable and not in a good way?? Didn’t feel anything while reading it, and it’s pretty superficial.

★★★ // quite entertaining if you read it for cultural knowledge and for the satire. a tiny bit annoying if you think too much about it, considering how shallow most of the characters are, and there's little to no plot to speak of. maybe that’s the point.
