funny and extravagant, but i feel like the story dragged on much longer than it needed to. the highly detailed descriptions of things got repetitive and tiring to read about. many characters to keep track of and even with the family tree i was confused, but that’s more of a me issue. i found it hard to care about any of the characters except for rachel. feels like the ending of the story is incomplete even though it’s a trilogy (mostly on the mom’s and astrid’s side of things).

I loved the movie and was happy to finally take the time for the book! There are a ton of POVs which adds to the story, but can also be difficult to track at time. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I tried to read this twice and never finished it either time! The characters are unlikable, it’s a little drawn out, and I just needed a little more drama to get through it.

Fun, easy read. The focus on different characters each chapter kept the suspense going, but it was surprisingly easy to keep the characters straight (possibly because it only took a few days to read).
