Mysterious. Spicy. Sweet. I liked this little coming of age non-traditional romance book. Can’t wait to start book two because the end of this one was a crazy cliffhanger. I love both the male protagonists, even though I know I shouldn’t.

I loved this book! While there is a ton of spice I wasn’t expecting, I loved the story behind it along with the characters. No matter how toxic 😂 immediately started the second one as soon as I finished the first! Read it, you won’t regret it. Also, the audio is 🤌🏻

I don’t really know what to say. I enjoyed it but you don’t learn any of the cryptic information until the last two chapters. I was trying to find the plot to answer what was going on. I was so infuriated with the book that I wanted to know the answer which pushed me to keep going.
I still overall enjoyed this book but I wanted answers… also the cliffhanger lucky I have the second book!

Not at all well written sadly.
There are a few chapters which I really enjoyed and they are what boosts the rating of this book to a 3. But most of this read is confusing as hell. There’s keeping your audience in the dark in order to create some mystery, and then there’s making your audience so confused that they begin to question whether they’ve missed a whole chapter.
This book also time jumps a lot, it’s very fast paced and there’s large chunks of the timeline that we don’t get any narrative for which is a shame.
I really like Dominic’s character and especially adored the rainy day scenes in bed with a book. Also the float scene is a yes from me🤪. Not a huge lover of the FMC Cecelia and not a fan of Sean if I’m honest, something about his vibe is just a bit off.
Overall this is a meh read and I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend, but it ends on a cliffhanger so annoyingly I now need to read the next one to fully understand what on Earth actually happened in book one.
Satisfactory ending? The chapters leading up to the ending are soooo chaotic and had me making a confused scowly face at the page for an extended period of time. But the ending itself is decent because it’s a cliffhanger.

I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. I stumbled across this title because of TikTok, and all I knew about the series was that it was sad, and people were going crazy about reading it. Normally I enjoy the books on Kindle Unlimited, but I am hardly entirely immersed into the world and invested in the characters, until now.
"Flock" follows Cecelia, an 18-year-old who has moved to Triple Falls by request of her father. Cecelia and her father have never been close, nor had any real relationship, but he wants Cecelia to come live and work for him for a year before she can have her inheritance. Cecelia's father is a ruthless business owner who has factories all over the world. He has proven himself successful in business, but he is unliked by everyone who meets him. Cecelia wants nothing to do with the father who abandoned her, but she wants his money to help her mother, so she agrees to put off her college ambitions for one year to come live and work in Triple Falls. On her first day of work, she meets Sean, an intoxicating man who might just make this year worthwhile. But Cecelia soon has to face her father's questionable business tactics and has to decide if love is worth everything.
This is a very drama filled romance. Cecelia is often immature and kind of cringeworthy to read from, but I still was rooting for her and Sean to make it work. I LOVE Sean as a character and love his entire outlook on life. He is exactly the positive person everyone needs in their life. I often felt like Sean could do better than Cecelia because she reads so young and whiney, but she is only 18, and I am hoping that in the rest of the trilogy, with Sean's influence, Cecelia can grow up. I am also hoping to see Cecelia give her father a chance. I understand and sympathize that she is angry and harbors resentment towards her father, but she flat out will not even try to hear him out and accept his apology. I am hoping she does not complete burn their bridge.
I am excited and dying to pick up "Exodus"!

So the whole thing about this book that everyone talks about is that you don’t really understand where the plot is heading and what the plot really is until 75% into the book- but I didn’t mind that at all. I adored getting to know all the characters and I loved the intrigue behind it all and having to guess what the backstory behind it all could be.
