Absolutely no notes. This series was exactly what I’ve been yearning for and given me *similar* feelings I felt when reading TOG and that is saying A LOT. It was everything and more and I know this is a true god tier series when I finish the last book and immediately want to pick up the first book again. Six stars

The Soul Catcher irritated me. So much. I just wanted to skip to the part where Elias was FINALLY HAPPY.

I am surprised by how much I loved this final book. All of the other books I have liked, but I haven't felt as emotionally connected as I expected to be. I enjoy them when I read them, but aren't always itching to pick them up, and there isn't any big emotional impact for long. But it's been intriguing enough and I like the characters enough to continue picking them up. This was an incredible ending. I loved the way Tahir explored themes of justice and revenge through war. What is right and wrong, from so many character perspectives. It was incredibly well done, and this was an incredible book. While I cared about these characters, I left this book really feeling like I love them. It's rare to love the final book the most of the series, and I am very pleasantly surprised by this turn of events.
I will be thinking about these characters, their sacrifices and dreams, the way they continue to learn and grow and try to do what is right, which can be more complicated than they realize, for a long time.
