I do find it kind of a waste to DNF this late into a series but I am just not enjoying it. I think I kind of already knew going in because I also didn’t like the third book. But I wanted to give the fourth book a chance because I really loved the first two books in the series. It started going downhill for me at the end of the second book

because I just couldn’t fully grasp this waiting place thing (probably because English isn’t my native language). I didn’t, and still don’t really, understand if it’s a real place or not. Because like what do you mean Elias is at the waiting place but he is still with Laia and almost dying at the same time.

I also had a hard time with the language. This was not a problem with the writing cause the author did an amazing job at that, it just gets a little annoying having to look up about 5 words per page because I don’t understand them.
Anyway, it is probably a good book but it just wasn’t for me and that’s fine.
