Well, I must say it wasn´t that bad. The author says this is her best work, but I think the first book is the perfect one. I hated and love this book, but I was satisfied with the ending at least.

Lets talk about the main characters:

Elias
I love him. He was everything I love in a male protagonist, but where his story went was awful. How can he be jealous of Musa but wasn´t when Kenan slept with Laia? and then the whole soul cachter plot. It was like I lost Elias, his personality, the love and guilt he felt, his humanity all gone. It was like reading about someone else. The worst part that at the end you get Elias back but it was to short and not enough.

Laia
(SPOILER ALERT) I hated her since she had sex with Kenan. She claim to feel something for Elias but easily sleep with a guy she also claim to love. I guess I was glad she was a bit more secure about herself, but for the rest of the story I didn´t like her stubborness and how all of a sudden she was an excellent fighter and brave.

Helene
She was to become a version of Queen Elizabeth I. I hated that she lost everyone, she didn´t deserve that much suffering, she deserve better.

If a movie was made I wouldn´t see it, too much suffering, children, families being killed, I couldn´t deal with that, I barely finish.
I will always remember how much I enjoy reading the first book. The other books where getting worst and worst. But it had the perfect ending which is something I love.

What a masterpiece of a series, I simply could not put any book down. I was entranced in the story of Helene, Laia and Elias and the need to know more made my heart hurt all that more when it finally ended.
Harper and Darin’s deaths absolutely BROKE ME and I will not be forgiving Tahir anytime soon for that, although the ending definitely felt very high staked, and I’m glad all of them didn’t survive? (That sounds mean but without deaths it wouldn’t have felt real or high staked)
I adored this series and it is absolutely a new favourite. My heart will miss these characters and their exploits, I’m so happy I read this series!!

This book was a great ending to the series. While I found myself lost in the layers of plot at times, I enjoyed the character development and balance between romance and action. Overall, I am so happy I ended up picking up and continuing this series!

I’m sobbing that this series has come to an end. What an excellent story
