An interesting mix of a slow burn paired with a slightly rushed ending. Although I wouldn’t say I hated the ending either. It was still powerful and didn’t wrap up the story into a perfect little bow, which I appreciate. Overall, though, Cha delivered an eloquent, heartfelt, and powerful story. She writes with empathy for all of her characters, and I loved how she explored the concepts of forgiveness and morality. I would definitely recommend it!!

Your House Will Pay is an amazing book told from the perspective of Grace Park, a Korean-American woman and Shawn Matthews, an African-American man. When a crime hits LA as tense as the early 1990s, their lives collide in a way they could have never imagined. I chose this book because I've been really interested to learn more about one of the catalysts that triggered the LA riots in 1992 and the ties to racial tension in the past year really play a part in that.

Highly recommended, it's amazing!!
