Karen's Worst Day by Ann M. Martin

I've been re-reading this series to get accurate ratings(don't make fun), and this book is better than I remember it being. Yes, Karen is a brat throughout the whole thing, as usual, but this time she has a little bit of an excuse. The things that happen wouldn't make an adult as upset, but she's only six, so of course she's going to be more effected by her TV show not being on, or missing the prize in the cereal box. The unusual thing about this book, though, was that Karen actually apologized to the people she was a jerk to, and even without any prompting from her parents!

Not rating.  Reading these to practice my Spanish, not because they are great literature or because I am the target audience.  Mid reader graphic novels are a great level for me and without the overwhelming amount of language in a novel.

The BSC changed my life in the 5th and 6th grade. My friends and I would coordinate so that we could read all of the books. I remember writing to Ann M. Martin to get her autograph. I thought it was amazing that she actually responded to me! I loved that Kristi's little sister got her own spin off series! I had the first four and I would read those over and over. :)

When you were too old for childrens books, but too young for The Baby Sitters Club.
Ann M. Martin really is a genius to piggy back on the success of The Baby Sitters Club.

After reading the little sisters series I remember feeling like a real adult opening up that first BSC book.

dunno if I'm just old but a 100+ page graphic novel of a kid whining about how awful her day is didn't cut it for me
