Adored this book. I laughed and cried along with the characters and couldn't wait to listen to the next chapter.

“Whenever I was in a crisis, I found myself on the carpet. I wrote the last two chapters of my book on
the floor. Most of mine and Joe's break-up conversation took place sitting on our living-room floor. When things became too big, I needed to make myself as small as possible.”

Dolly Alderton you will always be famous. This book was silly and heart-warming, and of course the strong female friendships were its strongest point. I also found the family storyline really emotional. Dealing with aging parents while navigating your own way in the world isn’t something I often see in novels, so I really appreciated that aspect. I think it was handled with care while also being honest about the darker sides of aging and all that comes with it. The story was a great reminder that there is no one right way to do life.
