4.01 AVERAGE

I was mixed on how to rate this (2 or 3?)...one hand it was a decent-honest attempt at Hindu inspired story telling but felt like it was a romantic-westernized take on Hindu mythology and a "clone" of Percy Jackson. In addition I could sense, adaption was "rushing" in compare to novel.

I have to commend Chokshi for the extensive glossary she created at the ending of the novel. (I wish I had known it existed so that I could have been less confused with all the Hindi mythology.) The book was rather charming but I admit that I kept falling asleep. (This could be due to an exhausting week back to school or my inability to keep all the new characters that entered into the story.)
