This is definitely my least favorite Alexandra Bracken book. The pacing was terrible, the plot was confusing, the love interests were separated for 80% of the book, and the new fantasy elements felt disconcerting. However, I was pleasantly satisfied with the ending so there's that.

I hate the trope where the love interests are kept apart for the sequel 🙄 Even when it only lasts a third of the book, and for this it was ALMOST THE ENTIRE BOOK. The ending was nice though.
Demorei muito pra conseguir ler esse segundo volume. Tinha planejado ler no comecinho de outubro, mas só consegui terminar agora. Toda vez que eu pegava, a leitura não fluía. Toda a expectativa que tinha ficado no final do livro 1 parecia ter desaparecido no começo desse. Achei muita enrolação. Podia ter umas 200 páginas no máximo e já estaria ótimo. A explicação foi satisfatória, as coisas fizeram sentido, mas… Não sei. Talvez eu tenha perdido o timing e por isso não curti tanto quanto eu esperava.
Second time I tried to finish this book. Got to 70 % then I jumped to the end. Really wish I would have liked this book. If I remember correctly I thought the first book was kinda slow to but not this slow. I read 50 pages and could not remember anything I had read.
Wooow what a ride!! This is such an emotional and actionfilled ride with a beautiful language! These characters are amazing and I love it. So much happens, yet it feels like it needs to be there and its not messy! I just love these books.
I have to preface this with the fact that I had to struggle to finish this book. It wasn't the book, I loved it, but I think I was overwhelmed by all the information and action that I got a bit bogged down. I did really enjoy the book and plan to reread these books again in the future!!
too much going on. the story was complicated, frustrating and boring. it could have been interesting, if the story had ended in 300 pages.

Este libro fue precioso!! Los personajes, la trama, TOOOOODOS esos bellísimos giros inesperados y la magnífica escritura de Alezandra Bracken. TIENEN QUE LEER ESTA DUOLOGÍA!! No sé si diría que es para todos, pero es un libro hermoso sin duda. No me gustaban los viajes en el tiempo hasta que leí Passenger. Creo que aún no me gustan salvo por la clara excepción de Passenger. ¡Sólo son dos libros! ¡Dos hermosos libros! ¡No se los pierdan!
