I saw another 3.5 star review on Goodreads that mentioned how hard it was to decide whether to round up or down for this book. I'm right there with them. On one hand this book introduced compelling new characters who (frankly) I loved more than the original cast. The new villains were so intriguing and I loved the darkness they added to the story. Bracken is an amazing writer and the rich history (especially the part in Russia <3) was just wonderful.

On the other hand, I thought it took WAY too long for Nicholas and Etta to reunite. On that note, last year a lot of people complained about the insta-love in Passenger. I didn't agree at the time, but while reading Wayfarer I finally saw it. Every time Nicholas or Etta mentioned how deep their love for one another was I found myself rolling my eyes. As they themselves pointed out several times, they only knew each other for a month, but apparently this super deep connection was already forged.

Ultimately, though, my main issue with this novel was the same as in the first installment: the world just confused me. It must just be me, but some parts of the time travel system seem to contradict themselves. ESPECIALLY the part where a character tries to go through a passage only to be spit back out because his/her future self is already there. I just??? The travelers seem to exist outside of time's restraints so it threw an extra wrench into my understanding of the system.

This duology has a lot of high points and is well worth the read. It's wildly entertaining and the history is just enthralling. My reading taste has changed over the 5o books I've read since Passenger, which probably accounts for how I felt about this book.

(PS I think the dedication of this book is epic so here it is: For all those history has forgotten.)

Wafarer was a marathon of a book. I suppose it didn't help that I had a very time during this book but it felt like stretched on forever. It makes me so sad to have to give this a three star because I love Passenger so much but I have be honest in my review. I believe this book could be stunning if it was read in big sittings but for me as I picked it up a couple pages at a time, I found it really difficult to get into.

Everything I loved from the first book, the writing, characters and historical aspects. The only problem was I totally understood everyone else's issue with the lengthy explanations and useless pages. I just wish I either had more time to read or that this book was just more direct.

The plot was marvellous and the continuation was well done as I wasn't confused and there were no massive wholes. I loved the ending, it was so clever. By the end of this series I was left feeling very content with just a little bit of mystery hanging.

It made me upset that Nicholas and Etta spent so much time apart. They were constantly thinking about trying to save each other which made me crazy because I just wanted them to hurry up and find Evan other again. The different characters and their relationships with each other were greatly diverse.

Overall I wish I could have enjoyed this more because I know it's an amazing book.

I actually preferred Passenger better. I like Li Min and Sophia separately, but they didn't need to be a couple.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST ENDINGS I HAVE EVER READ.

I'm truly astounded.

I'm so happy with how everything turned out but I can't help craving more and wanting to know what happens afterwards.

I completely adored Etta's relationship with Henry, it was so heartwarming to read and was what kept me reading through the first half of the book.

I loved how Julian and etta's relationship evolved too.
I think they will be great best friends.

I want to see more of nick and Etta in general, but I specifically want to see Nicholas in everyday life in the present day. I think it will be hilarious to read about.

I was completely sold when Sophia redeemed herself in this book and when we got to see her complete character instead of the snippy creature she was in book one.

I completely adore captain hall and chase and wishes we had interacted with them sooner.

I'm so glad that rose had done all of her crimes based on future Etta's request. If it had been anything else, I would not have forgiven her AT ALL. But now that I have read and know everything, I understand where she's coming from and what haunts her.

Li min was a great addition to the plot if sometimes frustrating. She was this mysterious character that had great knowledge and I love her for saving Rose's life in the end.

The story behind the astrolabe and the travellers was so interesting and I love how the ancient one and the belladona were the reason behind all of transpired.

In the end, if you haven't noticed, this is the longest review I have written since a very long time and it only confirms my love and happiness in reading this book.

I totally recommend this duology to anyone who loves fantastical reads.

I quite liked this second installment over the first one. It definitely had a lot more going on and I feel like the author really fleshed out the characters. I'm happy with the ending and though I do kind of wish there could be a third installment coming out, just to see more, this is a good place for it to end.

4,5 stars, It was realy good book.

Bracken manages to transport me all over the world and show me beautiful and awful things alike with her words.

Her characters are dynamic and not at one dimensional. Her writing is gorgeous and vivid, and I am so so sad that this adventure is over.

I'm not going to lie, at first I was skimming and found myself frustrated - thinking that passenger was better...but I was wrong. I quickly realized my opinion was based solely on the fact that Etta and Nick spend the majority of the book apart and in my mind I wanted them back together so badly that I was missing everything else that made this story amazing.

I throughly enjoyed myself!!
