I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my review.
I liked the contrast between the characters in this book. They were totally different in their personalities. The writing flowed well. I would likevto read the series from the beginning to really get a feel for the characters and find out why they are the way they are. However, even though I haven't read the series the story line wasn't confusing. I enjoyed their journey. Even though one was complicated and the other person was easy going, they loved each other and sacrificed their comfort in order to please the other. Wish it could have been longer though. The story was a little sad but it was great.

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.
I'd first like to say that I would give this a 3.5 rating.
The men in this book have been together since high school and are now in there early 20's. I had not read the 3 previous books so the age and length of their relationship was not known until later in the book. I point this out because the story is centered around a couple heading home for Christmas, Sean , who is seeing a therapist about family issues, treats his fiance to a trip home for XMAS. They are going home to Rusty's parents home. Saun had been taken in by Rusty's family after he had been tossed out for being gay. This book is mostly about how someone who is in therapy sheds some of the emotional effects of being tossed out at a young age for being gay.
Sean pushes through his going home issues and severe flying issues so that Rusty gets a holiday at home. At first I thought Rusty was being selfish by knowing Sean was reaching his limit and still wanting to go home. But later I realized that Rusty needed to go home because of his own issues.
This was a more deep story than what I expected from the title. I could feel some of the struggles Sean was going through. It felt real to me. The only problem I had with this story was that the reasons for all the emotional angst were glossed over. A short blurb about what happened with no real degree of description. I assume that's because this is the 4th book in the series. I would also call this more of a novella, having only taken place in a several day period.
All in all this is a nice feel good at the end read!

I love the growth of Sean and Rusty in the fourth book of the Bayou Boys series! It was so great to read of Sean's strength. I love how these two support each other! I love Rusty's parents! It was so awesome reading about Louisiana! ♥
