The Dating Detox was a whole lot of laughs. It was fun, well written, easy to read and I liked the authors humour a lot.
My only small complaint was all the smoking breaks really began to get on my nerves.
Definitely recommended.
Thanks Tory for picking it as our first super awesome book group choice :)

I'm just gonna say one thing: epic parties and nights out that make you wanna hit town.
I mean, seriously: I wanna bring out my shades, put my best party dress on, turn up the music (preferably something like Bright Lights, Bigger City or other party tunes) and be part of that crew. Totally worth the hangovers.

I love, love love Gemma Burgess! Seriously. A Girl Like You is and will forever be my favourite but The Dating Detox certainly had just as much charm. I would love for her to write more chick-lit...

I struggled to get into this book and found the lead character a bit frustrating in the beginning, but once I was about 40% in I found it to be a really quite enjoyable book.

I actually laughed out loud at this book, morning than a couple times. So witty- although similar to "a girl like you," it was different enough to keep me interested! Loved it and couldn't put it down!

Before this book, I had never stumbled across Gemma Burgess. Three chapters in, I'm kind of wishing I never had. The concept of a dating detox sounded amazing, and loaded. This far, the writing style and character have done nothing but annoy me. Here's hoping it gets better and surprises me.

one of those reads for a day where your feels are all over the place and you have no interest in the outside world and need to shut down completely.
