While this book is cumbersome, in size, the years it spans and detail. It’s also filled with heartbreaking moments. It tells the “story” of how one man came to be a cold blooded killer in the mid-90’s into the early 00’s. As well as the lives and circumstances that lead each woman to her fate at the farm. With over 30 women’s DNA found on the farm and the countless family members and police, lawyers and a multitude of other people who worked on this case (Pickton and co. excluded) of course the “cast” of characters will be insurmountable. But each one plays a crucial part and would of course be talked about.

It took me almost 3 months to get through this book because it weighed so heavily on my heart and mind that I needed a break here and there. Due to the length and how much information there was (some grammatical errors as well) I knocked it down a star but in the end I’m glad I chose to read it and learn about the many women who went missing in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. May their souls finally find peace.
