I just knew book 2 would be about Kendall and Greg (I don’t read synopsis), but when I was it was about Lizzie and Alonzo, I was NOT expecting this book to take the turn it did! If AUDACITY GALL JONES was a person, King’s face would be plastered on the billboard advertisement. The man was a prominent resident of DELULU city, with a mansion on the corner of “STFU Ave” and “No TF He Didn’t Blvd”. But the way Big Lonzo stepped behind HIS FAMILY was beyond admirable. Team Langston FIVE-EVA!!!

When you see Lizette Noelle Langston, know that's me. Not because of that ring on her finger and not because I beat my chest and act like a fucking caveman. It's not even because I worship that piece of heaven between her legs every chance I get. It's because every day, she wakes up and chooses to love me just as much as I choose to love her. It's because she knows I'd sooner die behind her and Christian than see either one of them hurt. Every goddamn day we love, respect, and choose one another. Ain't shit you or anybody else can do to change that."

Ooohh this was so freaking good! Just call me a Lady Marie stan at this point.

Honestly one of the things I love about Lady Marie's writing is how effortlessly she can get you to connect with different characters and her versatility when writing different story plots.

After finishing Worth It last year, I knew I wanted to read more about Makayla's siblings and this book definitely delivered.

Found Forever is Lizzie and Alonzo's story. They have been married for 3 years and Alonzo adopts Lizzie's son from a previous relationship, Christian. They're a loving successful Black family and everything seems perfect.

Until King arrives. King Holden is Lizzie's ex, and the father of Christian, who dipped after the birth of his son. Now he's trying to be a part of Christian's life, which Lizzie and Alonzo graciously agree to, but then he ends up trying to cross some boundaries.

I really loved Lizzie and Alonzo and how secure and respectful to one another they are in their marriage. They had open lines of communication and were very considerate of each other's emotions.

I also appreciated the inclusion of therapy in this story. In the Black community we are not often encouraged to go to therapy, so seeing it be brought up and included in a positive light with both Lizzie and her husband was so refreshing and definitely made the book more impactful.

This book had me in all the feels, I was screaming, kicking my feet, snapping my fingers, and highlighting like a madman.

I absolutely love love lode Lady Marie's characters DOWN. Can't wait to get to Kendall's story, I feel like that one is gonna be a tear jerker.

From the dedication to the epilogue, everything in this book was just beautiful.

As a single mother and hopeless romantic, I felt seen and heard. The love that Alonzo and Lizzie have for each other is so clear and mature, and their communication is tier. There are some spicy scenes, but they are not over the top and with the colorful language. Alonzo is the ideal husband who loves on his wife and stands up for her when it is needed. Lizzie is very self-aware of her feelings and emotions.

This book also has therapy sessions happening within the story and baby I need me a Dr. Kiera Brunson.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to others, and it has easily become one of my favorite books
