This is a fresh, fun and entertaining story.
I loved the woman empowerment aspect with Birdie’s Comic, her company and the whole Suffra-Jette Comic crew of friends. It was perfectly balanced in my opinion, not “in your face” or preachy. It was simply telling Birdie’s story and passion. I loved it!
Birdie and Atticus are immensely likable characters. They are both stars in their own “worlds” and both have remained humble. They are kind hearted and giving. Both have pasts they can identify with each other.
They had so much in common so the fast pace of the romance worked for me.
The fake relationship was refreshing in the way it worked out. The characters don’t hate each other or fight it.
Their chemistry was believable, hot and sweet.
I loved the story, it was so enjoyable and heartwarming.
The secondary characters are fun and bring big heart to this unique story.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more from this author.

I can’t get over how CUTE this story was. & maybe I shouldn’t be using that word to describe a novel where the main character is a feminist BADASS, but I can’t not. From the play-on-words title to the adorable, but expected, romance, & continuing on to the sweet, sweet pupper featured in the story, this is a cozy rom-com I could (& probably will) read over & over again. HEA friendly.

The Comic Con is such an adorable, empowering, and fantastic read! This is the type of book that will have you loving not only the characters but also yourself.

Dee Lagasse knows how to write such empowering and strong heroines. These females are truly the star of the book. Birdie is such a down to earth yet career driven character. She is the type I would love to have as a friend. Atticus just compliments her so well. He is so sweet and caring and supportive. I adore these two together. I love the supportive group of friend. I honestly wish I had this group of characters any my friends!

I absolutely loved reading this book. Between the laughs, the swooning, and all the emotions that came from this, I can truly say this is a book you should read. I adore everything about this book and can’t wait to read more from Dee Lagasse. She is a true queen and phenomenal author!

I’m mad that I waited so long to read this. I don’t read a lot of fluffier romances but this was so good. I love how different it was. It written very well. I was nervous about the whole comic book talk in it but it surprised me how much I actually enjoyed it.

This is about Birdie, a comic book author, who is making a movie out of her feminist comic. Atticus is the male lead role in the movie and they have to fake date.

It was definitely a very different read for me but if you want to try something new I do suggest it! Also Atticus’ looks are based on Chris Evans. You’re welcome!

I LOVED this book! So cute and fun! If you need a light, fun, cute and sort of cheesy rom com.. this is it!

I haven’t read a single comic book but I really loved this book. It involved a comic book writer who sees her comic become a movie and it’s just so fun and cute!

Loved Birdie so much. Her name was a big reason I wanted to read this. I love that name. Birdie is so relatable and I felt her emotions all throughout the book.

Atticus is also one of the best. His character was fun to read. He is the sweetest and set some high book boyfriend standards.

Was this cheesy? 100%… did I care? No.. it was so good!

10/10 recommend if you need a fun, quick cute rom com!

This book will have smiling from the first paragraph, the first sentence even! Dee has a way of creating characters that instantly feel like a friend and Birdie will instantaneously become your bestie. Atticus is the best book boyfriend to fall in love with, he is so everything.

Birdie and Atticus’s journey as you read will put you through all the feels, it was amazing watching the grow. Dee has a brilliant way of bringing family to her books, traditional or non-traditional, and The Comic Con exceeds in that. While it is full of these outstandingly strong women who support each other each step of the way, it make you feel like you are one of them, like you are family too. When they inspire each other, it will inspire you.

Dee has given us one of her best!
