I will never cease to be disappointed by the fickle phenomenon that occurs when death touches us. It seems to impact us so deeply, but only for a short period of time. Some more deeply or more long lasting than others, of course, but still we seem to lose some of the what death teaches us as we slip back into the monotony of our lives. Hopefully Morrie’s final message to the world has a lasting impact on the lives of readers. Hopefully, I will be able to carry these lessons with me and incorporate them into my life and the way I relate to those around me.
