I'll probably read it again some day. Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of my favourite bands of all time and I'll never stop loving them. This book underlines the things these guys have gone through, and especially Anthony Kiedis, and why they should be revered for getting through in one piece and with a different view of life.

Sex and drugs. Drugs and sex. What about the Chillis!? I went into this book with expectations far from what actually was to BE expected. Put me in a crazy reading slump I swear to god… need an instant revival book. ASAP!
SEX, DRUGS and ROCK & ROLL, literally but mostly drugs. Anthony Kiedis was a piece of shit for a long time and just like most, he became a father and it forever changed him. Go Anthony!

Great read, interesting human
Normally it doesn't take me four months to read a five star book but this one I ended up savoring. There is so much information here, maybe a little too much in some areas, but the linear narrative of the band history, his drug abuse, and relationship with John Frusciante more than made up for it. If I'd known that virtually everything I was trying to sort out by reading online was hiding in the last third of this book, I would definitely have read it faster.
Anthony Kiedis, his life and his book are exhausting.
A very strong 4. For better or for worse, this book is written with the exact style and sound of Anthony Kiedis, and for me it was better. I felt like I was just hanging out with Anthony and he was sharing his crazy ass life story with me. Even if you don´t like the Red Hot Chlii Peppers, this is a great story of survivial and friendship.
