Two young girls in Ethopia investigate killings of people and animals near their town. It's all centered around the myth of the kerit or Nandi Bear. I had to look the legend up to brush myself up on the history, but the depiction of the legend is both well done and too vague. The art is very close to the legends, but I think it falls flat in proportions with the human characters. The plot is also fairly weak with a focus on Interpersonal relationships between hyenas and lions, resolved by a battle at the end that doesn't make much sense being from the lens of two young girls.
Overall this was a confusing read that could have used some clarity and a stronger resolution. But I do enjoy legends and myths that are adapted to graphic novels.
