The science is cool!

However, I read this after Jeanette McCurdy’s book and felt the reveal at the end was such a slap in the face and while it fits in the narrative as way to come to terms with things in life, it also felt a little cheap.

To call this sci-fi ignores that in a much more meaningful way it is a work of philosophy, written in the conversation exchanges that make up so much of ancient philosophy. A beautiful book, although slow in places. I think I would have struggled with momentum for it as a book but loved as an audiobook.
