A thrilling ending and sometimes you think “why wouldn’t you do this instead?” Or “that’s so stupid!” But also the main character is still likable and you’re rooting for her

Also spoiler incoming:

Like the end of the book says, ain’t no man that perfect duh

Not great. Dumb decisions were made. I really only liked one character-Josh/Jake.

Super unreliable narrator, but a small setting and cast, so it was pretty easy to figure out and follow. Charlie isn't the brightest nail in the toolbox as she agrees to ride in the car of a man (Josh) she knows nothing about for 6 hours overnight. As the drive progresses, she finds inconsistencies in his story to her, but is unsure if they are true things or part of her hallucinations. She thinks that Josh is the serial killer plaguing her college and focuses on surviving the drive with him.

I was genuinely shocked by the first plot twist and it still doesn't really make sense to me. Wasn't there
a whole pov from Marge about how worried she was for Charlie and how she tried to rescue her? They tried to explain that by saying Marge was just trying to gain Charlie's trust, but I feel like that would have been more clear in Marge's POV...
. The other plot twists were pretty easy to figure out, especially considering how few options there were to fill certain roles. I was a bit frustrated by the

part.

Will also point out that the fact that
Josh was manipulating her and lying that it was a hallucination when it wasn't really got me, that was pretty smart of him
