i have mixed feelings about this. There was genuinely no plot whatsoever and the pace of the book was so incredibly inconsistent that it bore me at times. I hated Kamran so much in this book - how he doubted Alizeh and thought that she had betrayed them.
I wasn’t satisfied with the ending.
I feel like nothing really happened except for the fact that I know that I really like Cyrus. I loved knowing more about him in this book, and hopefully I’ll get to know even more stuff about him in the third book.

This book took off immediately where the first one finished which is nice as the cliffhanger was massive.
Kamran really had the worst day ever at that ball but even though this book deals a lot with him the devastation and shock is well depicted in my opinion. Alice obvi being the star of this book. The misfits group Kamran now has around him, Alizes conflicted feelings about Syrus and her role there were funny and interesting. HOWEVER I do believe this book could’ve been significantly shorter and incorporated into the third (I haven’t read that yet). This seemed like a filler book, but since I enjoy the narration so much, it wasn’t a hardship

Tahereh Mafi does not disappoint.

I just hope Kamran is endgame.
