Because the first book of this series was left on a cliffhanger I realized that I would have to read the whole trilogy to find out how the whole selection goes. I also found that I was interested in the rebels' part of the story. In the first book, the rebels were completely mean and dangerous but in this one, we got to know two of the rebels and know more about their side of the war. The plot twists had predictable outcomes which make sense for the series but it means that I couldn't expect more from the story than what was predictable. Overall it was a good book and when I opened the book, I didn't put it down until I finished it. It's an easy read like the first book.

The second book of the Selection series still focused on 'the Selection'. There are six girls who remain standing in the palace.

To be honest, dulu kepengen banget baca seri ini karena covernya keren dan cantik-cantik. Sekarang pun setelah diterjemahin dan tidak diganti covernya, saya semakin kepengen mengoleksi seri ini.

TETAPI hanya saja saya tidak nyaman dengan terjemahannya atau memang saya ga terlalu nyaman dengan ceritanya. Terlalu dangkal dan tidak begitu banyak konflik yang berarti, dinamika cerita juga hampir stagnan. America Singer juga plin plan sekaliiiiiiii... hahaha


Ada masa-masa saya gregetan banget melihat perilaku si America. Maxon masih bikin gemas... duuuhhh.
