Un romanzo molto ben costruito, che come Il Donatore riflette sulle possibilità e sul futuro di una società considerata "sempre uguale" perché mantenuta nell'ignoranza di usanze banalmente crudeli.

Anche ne Il Donatore il finale rimane aperto, ma questa volta l'ho sentito "ancora più aperto", se capisci cosa intendo, il che mi ha lasciato un po' perplessa e vogliosa di vedere se il libro successivo contiene il resto della storia di Kira.

Ho trovato rinfrescante la rappresentazione di Kira come una giovane donna disabile.

Good, but not amazing.

I feel like this ending mirrors The Giver's ending... Exciting, then kind of a let down.

Still, a nice short and interesting read.

another great one! i wish the ending was different but i understand why the autho left it the way it was. if it were me, i would have packed my shit and left. im not sure she will ever leave... and thats sad. i hope she visits her dad often so she sees a diff way of life.

Let's be real. While this had all the same elements that made The Giver so great, as a companion/sequel, it definitely doesn't hit as hard. Still an enjoyable read with enough creepy elements to satisfy though!
