The world was interesting and still liked the writing style. Really liked the main character and her friends. I thought the ending would be diferent but maybe this ending was best (the one i thought about would be to much hollywood). It also had an interesting world bilding that made me want to know more (felt the same in The Giver). Overall i liked it very much.

This is part 2 in the 4-part Giver series. In this book, we meet Kira. She lives in what feels like a primitive society where anyone with a disability is left to die "in the field". Without giving away too much of the story, although she is born disabled, her mom successfully fights for her right to live. We later find out that Kira has a talent that is wanted by the rulers of the society. We also meet Matt. He is Kira's devout friend, and he's also a little rascal.

Yes 2 complete stars! =//
This was the sequel to The Giver. The stories weren't connected which is okay but this wasn't even as good as the first one which didn't meet my expectations either. Like the first book we get into the story thinking it's an ordinary place and simple story blah blah. And them we see a dystopian world which has some mysteries. The thing was with the first book the twist and it's unraveling made a shock that caused me to forgive some plot holes. But in this one I was waiting even in the last page for something to happen. And the book finnished with sooo many unanswered questions. Like why the heck they wanted others to believe in beasts?? What was the reason they had to kill gifted children parents?
My other problem was with world building and descriptions. I'm a kind of person who sometimes escapes descriptions bc they're boring but this book had lack of it. Like I remember in that singer_tells_history_ceremony they had to salute to a "holly thing". And yeah it was literally described like that we didn't get to know what it was.
