Interesting cross between comic book and pulp paperback, "based on the Famous Radio Series" (1938-1949). The writing style is so basic, it reads like a screenplay for a low-budget film serial of the type that was to shortly follow in 1942. The book features a cute, little flip-page animation in the upper corner - nicely suited to the 200+ frames available in the 400+ page, small-format book.
