This book is sooo good! Liane just wants vengeance but her mother wants her to settle down. Erich just wants to live his life, but as a were-dragon that’s not so easy because if he’s found out he’ll be killed. So when he gas a chance to get a cure - even if it means thievery - he’ll take it. Liane and Erich meet by chance and decide a fake engagement is the solution to their problems, even if they are dealing in lies.
This book is full of wonderful characters and mystery and magic. It has some great tropes including fake dating and there’s only one bed. I really liked Liane who struggles with pain and illness but is still so determined and strong. The mystery and intrigue really kept me hooked and I didn’t want to put this book down. I really enjoyed the slow burn romance between Liane and Erich despite the secrecy and untruths. I can’t wait for the next book!
