3.0

I’m just not really into reading about MC’s who repeatedly state that they don’t have trauma and don’t need therapy (while actively harming those around them due to their severe trauma) in the year of our lord 2024.

CW: INSANE PARENTAL TRAUMA FROM BOTH MOTHERS OF THE MCs! THIS IS NOT A CUTE SUMMERY ROM-COM!!!

3.25

I’m sort of between a 3 and a 3.25 but I’m going to put it as a 3 because the book annoyed me but actually I’ll up it to a 3.25 because I like how she tied things together.

I’m annoyed because this is the third Abby Jimenez book and the plot has so much potential but the execution is just not my cup of tea. Lots of people on booktok and booktube like Abby Jimenez.

I have the same critique of her books as all the other books I’ve read in the part of your World Series. Her books are too long. She tells and does not show. I wish she would be focus on the dialogue more between characters because that part did have me chuckling. She has great discussions of hard struggles people deal with but it’s almost too much in a single book to be relatable here.

Not sure if I’ll pick up another Abby Jimenez book unless it is shorter or it has another pretty cover.
