A grade A mystery. The disapperence of teens decade and a half ago. Grade F on Tempe not getting in trouble. Granted, it was harder to connect the dots (and made harder by factors) but I hate how she almost gets herself killed in almost every book. I understand the need for suspense but it is the only part of the series I don't find enjoyable.

This book was OK, I did not like it as much as I liked the last two books in this series. I don’t really know what else to say – I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it, I didn’t look forward to listening, I didn’t keep hoping it would be over soon. An acceptable filler for the series/diversion for me, but nothing to write home about.

Another Temperance Brennan story, this one revolves around car racing. Kathy Reichs provided lots of interesting history and information about Nascar and other racing circuits.

4 stars.

Great as always.

I miss Ryan! hope 2012 has more Ryan

fun read from Kathy Reichs as always

3...Okay...Here's the deal... I find these newer Tempe novels aren't the same...Well I mean...they seem to have less happening case wise, with more family drama...less anthropology, more random facts about NASCAR, in this case...I expected more, got less! PS...Huge Tempe fan...in ALL her forms, so this one hurt!

I used to really like her mysteries, but I have found that I just don't get drawn in by these more recent books in the way i did by the early books in the series. Maybe she's so busy with the TV show that she can't concentrate on the books the way she used to, or maybe I like the Montreal settings better (the last couple have been in other locations).... Whatever the reason, this book was okay, but not really that interesting.
