An alphabet book abounding with alliteration

Good for both ABC and superhero themes. A little long for younger kids but great comic-style illustrations and alliterative descriptions for school-age kids.

Superhero ABC includes comic-like illustrations and 26 superheroes, one for each letter of the alphabet (like Astro-Man, who is "Always Alert for an Alien Attack"). This is a fun, more complex alphabet book that is great for kids who love superheroes.

My kids loved this book! Even the boys, who usually are not thrilled when it's time to read a book, we're enthralled! Highly recommended!

Cute idea for a book. But what it really wanted to make me do was sit down and make a similar book with my 5-year-old - to stretch those creative muscles and see what kind of superheroes my own child could come up with.

My 4 year old daughter picked this one off the library shelf and I have to admit I was pretty dubious. I'm not a big superhero fan (although Batman rules, naturally), so I thought reading this to her would be pretty tedious.

Heck, no. This turned out to be a snickeringly funny ABC with ludicrous superheros such as "Multiplying Mike (becomes Many More Men in Minutes" and "The Volcano (Vomits on Villains)". Illustrated earnestly in perfect comic style, I have to say I was completely won over. And forced my husband to read it. Definitely recommend for kids 4-up.

***wondering why all my reviews are five stars? Because I'm only reviewing my favorite books -- not every book I read. Consider a novel's presence on my Goodreads bookshelf as a hearty endorsement. I can't believe I just said "hearty." It sounds like a stew.****

Perfect book for boys, quirky superheroes and sorta gross ones too, like V for Vomit....which makes mom cringe and boys happy. We've read ours so often the cover has come off.
