I was rooting so hard for Iris that I couldn't put the book down. I'm looking forward to reading more books from Kennedy Ryan but I need something fluffy to reset from delving into such a harrowing and real story.

I was entertained and heartbroken. Like I haven't been this entertained or cried like this in a long time. But it's not the best. Just didn't click to be the best romance.I feel like this book was more focused on what Iris was was going through and what they wanted instead of the characters themselves. I didn't get enough characterization or chemistry in this one. But am happy that Iris is a strong woman and she found her happiness .

The story was moving and emotional. I couldn't stop listening to this story. I loved the main characters and the challenges they went through to get to what they deserved.
Do not go into this book thinking it's a cute sports romance. There are heavy conversations about abuse.
I am not timid with dark subjects but the SA in the story made me take a minute to compose myself. If you are sensitive to this kind of Trigger, I do not reccomend reading this.
If you can get past that scene, the journey and growth of the characters is amazing. This story will stay with me for a long time.

Really well written but it’s heavy on the trauma porn. I knew there were going to be heavy themes but wasn’t expecting the trauma to be the majority of the book with the love story being more of a secondary storyline.
