It was so bad that I actually had to physically barf al over it

I am numb.
I was about half way through unsure where the two love arcs were going to go and then they ate lasagna. (For those who read it you understand). The whole time I read this book I had the song "Older by Sasha Sloan" playing in my head.

I have been guilty in the past of believing that if a woman wanted to leave an unhealthy relationship she could. Buts its not as simple. You cant just turn your feelings towards someone off.

I was a firm Atlas stan from the very beginning. His story touched me. I will never see Ellen or Dory the same way. They will forever be associated with him.

Lily is such a strong woman. She faced heavy battles that threatened to knock her down many times. Her grit is so admirable. I hope to be like her one day.

I sobbed at the ending. Lily and Ryle... i have no words. I cant process anything. I wish there was a way to erase the consequences in this book but life is messy. This book is messy and raw and just like real life.

In real life even the best people can end up breaking our hearts

"It ends with us."

I honestly really enjoyed this book. it left me with so many different emotions. if you are easily triggered by abuse and emotional distress than please read with caution.

As a person with a scarred past I found it rather relatable, and loved the concept im sure was not easy to write. I did have to put it down a few times for my own personal health but I am so glad I read it, so far I have enjoyed this authors writing and may look into future books.

I had some issues with this book, I wasn't thrilled at how the journaling was done. I don't know a single 15 year old who talks to anyone like that, not even themselves. It was a way to info-dump full scenes that the reader needed to know, and it was all a bit clunky and too much.

For a while there, I wasn't sure the book was going to give me the satisfying ending I NEEDED COHO to give me, but by the end I was left wanting more. SO glad to know there's a sequel because I need more.

The portrayal of DV and homelessness were both poignant, and the heavy subjects were handled with empathy. Giving a 4 star rating because despite whatever issues I had with this book, it still captivated me, compelled me to read it in a matter of hours, and I found it enjoyable such that I couldn't put it down.

is this the worst book ever written? yes
