I have a clear soft spot for Nicolas Spark books. I do not think there is a single one that I did not love. However, this was not my favorite, maybe because it was from a male perspective or maybe because he was so much older than me and it was hard to relate. However, still an excellent read.
That ending was totally unnecessary! I actually HATE the ending. NicSparks why did you do that? I was hoping for the happy ending like in most of his books. The two main characters felt with a lot of crap in this book and the previous one and they definitely didn't deserve to end like this.
But also the way the characters behaved through out this book wasn't that enjoyable. That all let to me giving this book 3 stars. There we just too many things I was unhappy with.

Still searching for a Nicholas Sparks book without a tragic ending... Sweet and touching story of two people getting to know each other after one gave up their life for the other.
This was the worst Sparks book to date. I didn't realize this was a sequel oops! Jeremy is set to marry Lexie who is pregnant with his child. He moves down there, buys a house (which I don't know how because all book he's not working on his writing), not inviting many of his family, & gives up a lot of things to be with her. Lexie doesn't & is very selfish character. Meanwhile Jeremy keeps telling the reader how he's in love with Lexie but doesn't show it. Instead Sparks has them arguing most of the book about various things & makes you think that they won't work out. It was as if they were forced together because she was with his child. The ending was predictable & should have been sad if Sparks had written a more convincing novel!

This book was sitting around my mom's house so I picked it up thinking it would be an easy read....which it was. It was so sad though! I didn't read True Believer so I didn't care much about the characters.

Definitely a mistake to finish this book on the train when I was commuting to work this morning - Sparks hit you and the end with the tragedy you just knew was coming if you've ever read anything by him before. I was hysterical crying! It was sad, sweet and definitely made me think about the amount of love in my life, but it was a typical, predictable Sparks book.
