A beautifully written book. The story is told as a series of letters written by Constanta, Dracula’s bride, although he is never once referred to by his name. Centuries after he turned her, he brings two others into the home. Cracks soon start appearing in the relationship after Constanta realises that he is more controlling than loving and has been hiding secrets about his past.

Short fiction rarely works for me, but I really liked this. Clever way it was written and great story.

It took me a month to read 300 pages. I read this for a book club, I voted for this book. I was so excited for this book - it had been on my TBR for months. It took me a month.

This book was incredibly boring, I finally finished it and am sitting here trying to think of anything good to say about it, and all I can say is “I liked the concept”

Ask me about this book in a month and I probably wouldn’t be able to tell you anything. Incredibly disappointing.
